Love Gun Tour Stage

For the Love Gun tour stage a new stage was constructed and effects were added on top of the old ones:

• New Stage - The Love Gun Tour saw a more technical stage being build upon the base of the Rock And Rock All Over Tour stage that already saw changes for the Japan leg of the tour with a new drum riser, lighted stairs, platforms over the amps that was made out of Marshall amplifiers, Perkins cabinets and Crown amplifiers with a total bill of $46,000! They kept the simplicity without elaborate props all over the place like for the Destroyer Tour stage. But the band made that up with a explosive rock & roll show that attacked the crowd visually and audibly. Two stages were constructed, so if the band played on the stage one night, the other stage was already being build in the next city over!
  

• Hydraulic Balconies - Even though the stage still had staircases, two hydraulic balconies were added left and right of the drum riser, mainly to prevent that one of the KISS members would take a tumble down the stairs as Paul once did and would take the risk away of members getting electrocuted from touching a badly grounded railing.
  

• Hydraulic Lifts- Hidden in the stage front were two modified hydraulic lifts that Gene, Paul and Ace used for their solo's and the show's finale. Later in the tour Ace stopped using the platform during his solo as Ace was known to not be stable on his feet even when he was sober.(When Ace went to the 1973 KISS audition, he apparently even walked into a wall!)
  

• Pyrotechnics & Fireworks - Pyro and fireworks were more present than in the previous tours and the tour would create a standard how much pyrotechnics is used for a KISS show.
  

• Costumes - KISS ordered new costumes made, by Maria Contessa and Laurie Greenan, Greenan already had designed their costumes since 1974 and also for many other bands. The band members got three each in case one would break beyond repair or got stolen. These costumes would be used again in 1996 for the KISS reunion to recreate new Love Gun era costumes for the now "bigger" KISS members.
  

• Sam The Serpent - This stage prop would have been a perfect fit as well for the Destroyer stage, was Sam The Serpent, This dragon/snake looking prop was located on the far left of the stage as Gene's sidekick, smoke would emit from his mouth and Gene would lit his fire breathing torch on the torch above Sam's head. Sam would even have a small part to play in one of the fights in the KISS movie!
  

• New Drum Riser - Peter received a completely new drum riser, now during his drum solo it would shift forward to the edge of the stage.
